The Dump Tube System from IMI enables safe, controlled steam discharge into condensers in turbine bypass applications. Designed as a fixed orifice, it reduces steam pressure downstream of the bypass valve to condenser pressure. Each tube is engineered to match specific plant conditions, ensuring optimal performance and protection of condenser and turbine internals. The design eliminates the need for cooling within the condenser and allows for accurate feed-forward control via the customer’s DCS. With optional two-stage layouts and the ability to act as a flow meter, the dump tube ensures efficiency, cost reduction, and reliable thermal system integration.
