The Two-Stage Dump Tube from IMI is engineered to reduce noise during steam discharge into condensers, especially in turbine bypass applications with high pressure drops. Its multi-stage, fixed-orifice design splits the pressure drop across two stages, lowering acoustic emissions and protecting downstream equipment. Custom-designed for each installation, the dump tube ensures precise steam temperature control and optimises the sizing of both the bypass valve and tube. Constructed from alloy steel, it is welded directly to the downstream steam pipe. Suitable for water- or air-cooled condensers, it integrates seamlessly with control systems for complete thermal power plant solutions.
