NBSE Low Pressure Turbine Bypass Valve
Efficient steam throttling and desuperheating for ultra-supercritical power plants with rapid response.
Modular design supports various power plant configurations with enhanced steam control and rapid response.
Noise-reducing inlet bonnet cage and spring-loaded water injection nozzles improve efficiency and longevity.
Easy maintenance with seal-welded seats and exchangeable trim ensures minimal downtime.
The NBSE low-pressure turbine bypass valve is engineered for steam conditioning, efficiently handling steam throttling and desuperheating via spray water injection at the outlet. It plays a critical role in plant start-ups and load rejections by diverting steam from reheat lines to the condenser until steam temperature matches turbine blade conditions. Designed for ultra-supercritical power plants, it offers robust performance with a forged angle body, flow-to-close operation, and a modular trim design. With bolted or pressure-seal bonnet options and compatibility with hydraulic, electromechanical, or pneumatic actuation, the NBSE ensures long-term reliability, reduced noise emissions, and easy maintenance access.
