IMI CCI

VBSE High-pressure Turbine Bypass Valve

High-pressure steam conditioning valve for ultra-supercritical turbine bypass applications.

  • Tick

Delivers precise steam conditioning and desuperheating for turbine protection during load changes and start-up.

  • Tick

Reduces maintenance time with a modular trim, welded seat, and quick access to internal components.

  • Tick

Offers robust high-pressure performance with a forged body, pressurised seal bonnet, and exchangeable trim design.

The VBSE is a high-performance turbine bypass valve engineered for steam throttling and desuperheating in ultra-supercritical power plants. It manages steam start-up and load rejection by bypassing steam to reheat lines until the temperature matches turbine requirements. With a forged body, modular trim, and spring-loaded spray water injection, the VBSE delivers reliable control under extreme conditions. It is available with hydraulic, electric, or pneumatic actuation and features a pressurised seal bonnet for high-pressure integrity. Easy access to internals, a reduced component count, and a choice of plug designs support long service life, low maintenance, and exceptional flow control accuracy.
