Features
The Mechanical High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS) from IMI is a complete, fail-safe solution that shuts off high-pressure flow at the source without requiring any electrical power. Ideal for remote or unmanned sites, it is available in pneumatic self-actuated or hydraulic self-contained configurations. Certified to SIL 2 or SIL 3 (with single or dual valve setups), the system uses the process pressure as its closing signal. Designed to IEC 61508/61511 standards, Mechanical HIPPS integrates IMI Truflo Italy’s ball valves and IMI STI actuators, offering fast response, bi-directional shut-off, and zero pressure drop, even in piggable lines.
