### IMI Z&J Germany is a specialist engineering and manufacturing site dedicated to the IMI Z&J product brand. It is one of two global IMI Z&J sites focused on the design and manufacture of large diameter, custom engineered valves for critical process and furnace applications. From Duren, IMI Z&J supports customers in petrochemical, refining and heavy industrial markets where extreme temperatures, large sizes and continuous operation demand proven engineering expertise and robust valve performance.

Engineering heritage
IMI Z&J Germany is rooted in Düren’s long standing heavy engineering tradition, evolving from foundry and fabrication origins into specialist design and manufacture of large diameter, severe service valve technologies for critical industrial applications.1877
The Zimmermann & Jansen name established, marking the start of the company’s recognised heritage in heavy engineering and industrial valve solutions in Germany.
1989
First Ethylene double disc through conduit valve produced, establishing IMI Z&J Germany as a specialist in severe service ethylene applications.
2002
Zimmermann & Jansen GmbH and RACO merged to form Z&J Technologies GmbH, consolidating German valve engineering capabilities in Düren.
2010
Z&J Technologies Germany becomes part of IMI, forming the basis of today’s IMI Z&J product brand engineering and manufacturing site.

Machining and manufacturing capability
IMI Z&J Germany operates a comprehensive in house workshop with 29 dedicated production areas. This enables full control of quality, delivery and technical execution from raw material preparation through to final assembly and shipment. Capabilities include steel cutting, steelwork, welding, machining, refractory lining, surface treatment, final assembly and shipping. This integrated manufacturing set up supports complex engineered to order valves and underpins the site’s role as a specialist IMI Z&J engineering and manufacturing location.
