IMI’s new Beijing office: An innovation hub at the heart of the city

Our new facility will enjoy the full benefits of its surroundings, including manufacturing and high-tech industries in an area earmarked for comprehensive business-focused development.

Our new company office was officially opened on 28 August 2025 in a ceremony hosted by Mr. Philips Chen, Managing Director China, with the honour of welcoming IMI group COO Mr. Jackie Hu and APAC Sales Vice President Ms. Yunhee Choi. Each congratulated our Beijing team on the successful relocation of our office from its previous setting and joined them in person to mark this significant milestone for IMI and its regional partners. IMI Process Automation and Industrial Automation employees will work together in the new facility to deliver great technologies and real value to our customers.

For us, this is not just a relocation. Our new location in one of the capital's key business centres beside the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal offers excellent accessibility and connectivity. Situated at the heart of a thriving hub for business and innovation, we chose the site carefully to support our employees by easing their commuting challenges, positioning us at the centre of Beijing’s dynamic nexus of information, talent, and opportunity.

Our new facility features an open-plan layout that encourages collaboration, removes traditional departmental barriers, and helps us work together with greater transparency and agility. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow ample natural light to flood the space, creating a bright, ambient workplace atmosphere. Outside, landscaped greenery brings a touch of nature, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The open and collaborative workspace has been designed to enhance efficiency while fostering a healthy, supportive environment that promotes well-being. Every aspect of the design reflects IMI’s values - Always Care, Be Curious, and Create Impact - and reinforces our commitment to supporting colleagues and delivering value for our customers.

The official ceremony began with a traditional Chinese lion dance in the lobby of our new building, symbolising prosperity and good fortune. A ribbon-cutting ceremony followed this in our new office space. Jackie Hu then delivered an inspiring address, encouraging colleagues to uphold their high standards of dedication as we begin this new chapter in a competitive market environment.
