The MDAV-S Venturi Desuperheater from IMI delivers precise steam temperature control for small-diameter pipelines. Its venturi-style design ensures fast water atomisation and evaporation, maintaining accurate control down to 8°C above saturation temperature. With no moving parts, the MDAV-S provides reliable, low-maintenance operation and easy installation in space-constrained systems. Spray water is introduced via an external control valve and injected into steam through a fixed nozzle. Suitable for industrial power, district heating, and process industries, the MDAV-S supports pipe sizes up to 4", pressure classes ANSI 600 or 1500, and ensures minimal risk of water impingement on pipe walls.
