The IMI Thompson Valves D40B/D40Z Series is a high-pressure gland packed needle valve, designed for nuclear power, aerospace, and defence applications. Operating at up to 620 bar (8992 psi) and 230°C (446°F), it meets ASME B&PV Section III standards for hazardous fluids, steam, and gases. Featuring a non-rotating valve disc for positive shut-off, a graphite or PTFE gland packing ensures leak-tight sealing. Available with various end connections, including threaded, butt weld, socket weld, and stub pipe, it provides high-integrity sealing for critical shut-off applications in nuclear and industrial sectors.
