Our investment in innovation was reflected in £125 million in Growth Hub orders, demonstrating how we direct new product development toward solutions that meet customer needs. Additionally, our recently opened Beijing office has become a central hub for innovation, connecting local and global expertise to support customers in China and across the region.

As the global digitalisation process gained pace in 2025, Industry 4.0 and smart automation technologies transformed how you monitor, manage, and optimise your plant operations. Our people understand that connected devices, smart valves, and predictive analytics are now essential to improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and lowering the total cost of ownership.

We believe we are at the forefront of this digital shift. Through IMI Insyt, our digital performance and insight platform, you can analyse your plant’s performance, predict maintenance needs, and optimise operations. IMI made significant strides in advancing the hydrogen economy through groundbreaking electrolyser projects across Europe. In Germany, we are supplying a pioneering hydrogen research project with a state-of-the-art PEM electrolyser to support next-generation hydrogen development. At the Port of Klaipėda, we delivered the region’s first green hydrogen facility, enabling Lithuania’s transition to sustainable fuel.

In Italy, our engineering team installed a 1MW electrolyser in Trentino, supporting industrial regeneration, and supplied a 2MW system to the Hydrogen Valley project, a key milestone in green hydrogen production. We also provided a 3MW electrolyser to Vilnius Green Hydrogen and delivered a 4MW PEM electrolyser for API Sarpom, boosting renewable hydrogen capacity at industrial sites.

As public transport operators across Europe work to decarbonise their fleets, hydrogen is emerging as a realistic and compelling alternative to diesel and battery-electric vehicles. However, large-scale adoption faces key challenges, including grid capacity constraints, infrastructure gaps, and storage limitations. In our latest report, 'The Road Ahead', we explored how hydrogen decentralisation can help you overcome these barriers.

In other sectors, we celebrated the 750th installation of our EroSolve Wet Steam solution, which cuts energy waste and improves efficiency. We also enhanced operational safety at the Hasbah Gas Field through safety-critical HIPPS systems. Our valve and control technologies continue to support you in enhancing process efficiency, extending asset life, and meeting your environmental emissions targets.

These achievements reflect IMI’s broader sustainability vision, as we engineer smarter, cleaner solutions for the low-carbon systems of tomorrow.

Various global shifts during 2025, from energy market volatility to regional trade restrictions, highlighted the importance of robust local partnerships supported by global capability for all of us. Our teams across more than 50 countries deliver compliant, effective, and timely technologies, even in your most complex operating environments. This year, IMI contributed to the Sizewell C nuclear development in the UK, a key project supporting national energy security, and supplied our ‘largest production’ choke valves to a North Sea unmanned production platform, advancing offshore energy performance.

Meanwhile, our expert Valve Doctors continued to work alongside you to optimise valve performance, extend asset lifespan, and improve process reliability. By working so closely with you, they help ensure you stay ahead in a rapidly evolving world.
